


From 1 October 2025, any new vehicle licensed by Fareham Borough Council will be required to be fitted with cameras in line with there Camera Policy
Currently licensed vehicles will need to be fitted with cameras in line with their Camera Policy by 30th September 2026.
All proprietors will need to ensure that there is a designated Data Controller who shall be registered as a data controller with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
The Data Controller will be responsible for processing and exercising control over personal information together with how images are stored and how they should be
disclosed, in line with their Data Protection Impact Assessment.
Data controllers must ensure that any processing of personal data for which they are responsible complies with the Data Protection Act 2018. Failure to do so risks enforcement action, prosecution and compensation claims from individuals.
Evidence of initial registration and annual renewal with the ICO will be required by the Licensing Team.
